Gus, Jaimi, Zach, Amy and Laura seek to help others understand that the name “Columbine” means much more than a single event that occurred on an April day in 1999. “We are Columbine” is an attempt to express the inexpressible: Those who have called Columbine home during the last 15 years share something that cannot be effectively articulated in other words.
“We are Columbine” is a powerful way to communicate our shared sense of belonging to these people and this place.
Though each of our paths is unique, we share common bonds of tragedy and trauma, hope and healing, connection and loneliness, darkness and light.
